GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say human remains found at a remote property near Wittmann have been identified as those of a Glendale man missing since last summer.

Glendale police announced Tuesday that DNA testing positively identified the remains of 27-year-old Uridan Barrera.

They say Barrera went missing on July 3 after being kidnapped by several armed suspects.

On Dec. 1, police say four Glendale men were arrested in the case. Police say they remain in custody and could be facing murder charges.

Wittmann Fire Department officials say a man was walking through a burned-down house on March 27 found a human skull.

Authorities say partial human remains were found later in an abandoned shed on the Whispering Ranch property and Glendale police joined the investigation.

Wittmann is located 35 miles northwest of Phoenix.
