DORAL, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two construction workers were injured when a concrete beam fell at a South Florida college parking garage that’s being built to replace another garage that collapsed four years ago.

The Miami Herald (https://goo.gl/fWQJmg) reports that the partial collapse occurred Friday afternoon at Miami Dade College’s West campus in Doral.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue confirmed that two construction workers were transported to a local hospital, and one of the injuries was a trauma alert. Officials didn’t believe anyone was trapped in the rubble.

Miami Dade College released a statement saying classes and operations at the campus were not impacted.

In October 2012, a major portion of the garage at the campus collapsed, killing four construction workers and injuring seven others. That structure was completely razed, and the new garage has a new design.
