PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Former U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood got a close-up look at the Peoria airport terminal the now bears his name.

The Ray LaHood International Terminal at Gen. Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport was dedicated this past week in LaHood’s hometown.

According to the Journal Star (https://bit.ly/1V9mME3 ), the former congressman and transportation secretary said he was “stunned and humbled” by the honor.

Current Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx and Federal Aviation Administration Michael Huerta were also at the airport for the dedication.

Foxx said LaHood “oozes integrity, oozes civility and commands respect.”
