SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The search for a man who went missing on Lake Powell is now being called a recovery effort.

Divers and officers from agencies in Utah and Arizona continued looking Sunday for the 26-year-old man.

Christiana Admiral of the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area says the search and rescue operation is now a recovery.

According to Admiral, an emergency call was made from a boat Thursday night on the Kane County side of the lake.

Admiral says two people in a boat stopped another boater and reported a man fell into the water near Wahweap Marina.

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Department of Public Safety are using a sonar system to search the lake, which has water depths averaging 127 feet.

Authorities have not identified the missing man.
