ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say two toddlers were killed in a mobile home fire in north Georgia.

Multiple media outlets report that the fatal fire happened Monday afternoon in Lumpkin County.

Lumpkin Sheriff Stacy Jerrard told WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/1hYCbTE ) that a neighbor saw flames and called 911.

Two children, ages 1 and 2, were pulled from the home and rushed to hospitals, but were pronounced dead.

Lt. Chris Pfrogner told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://on-ajc.com/1qCCScj ) that the children’s father was not home and their mother was outside at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
