FOREST HILLS, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say an explosion has destroyed half of a duplex in western Pennsylvania.

Forest Hills Fire Chief Jim Theilacker says no one was home when the residence exploded on Sunday afternoon, causing part of the building’s roof to collapse.

Officials believe it was a gas explosion but say the incident remains under investigation. Theilacker says Peoples Natural Gas workers swept the neighborhood looking for leaking gas but didn’t find any.

No injuries have been reported.
