NEW YORK (AP) - “Les Liaisons Dangereuses,” a play about power and seduction in 18th century France, will return to Broadway’s embrace this fall, starring Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber.

The Donmar Warehouse said Monday that McTeer will portray the Marquise de Merteuil and Schreiber will be the Vicomte de Valmont in Christopher Hampton’s dark comedy.

Josie Rourke will direct the Donmar’s production that played in London from December to February, starring Dominic West in the part now to be played by Schreiber.

Performances begin Oct. 8 at the Booth Theatre.

Laura Linney and Ben Daniels were last to headline a Broadway revival of the play in 2008. McTeer won a Tony for “A Doll’s House” and Schreiber for “Glengarry Glen Ross.”
