NEW YORK (AP) - Police say one person has died and another person has been injured in a house fire in Brooklyn.

The fire broke out at about 6 p.m. Monday on the second floor and attic of a home on Fenimore Street.

Police say 64-year-old Patricia Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured person is expected to survive. Several firefighters also suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown and an investigation is continuing.
