ROSINVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Dorchester County sheriff’s deputies say a man shot and killed his estranged wife and then himself.

Multiple media outlets reported the shooting happened Sunday afternoon at a home near Rosinville.

The victims were 72-year-old James Hughes Weaver of Covington, Georgia, and 61-year-old Melanie Conklin Weaver of Rosinville.

Weaver’s daughter told deputies she brought her father from Georgia to the house to get his belongings. She told deputies that Melanie Weaver tried to keep him out of the house but he forced his way in, got a gun from and shot her and then himself.

Deputies said they found a revolver on the floor between the two bodies.
