ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - A judge has sentenced an Aspen man to several more months in jail for robbing a marijuana shop with a hammer.

The Aspen times reports (https://bit.ly/26d3Wzz ) that 22-year-old Hayden May pleaded guilty last month to felony robbery, theft and motor-vehicle theft. Prosecutors say he stole $11,000 worth of pot last July and fled to Missouri, where he led police on a chase in a stolen car.

May was sentenced Monday to 205 days in jail on top of the 259 he’s already served, followed by four years of supervised probation and 200 hours of community service. The judge also ordered him to write an apology letter and stay away from intoxicants.

He is still facing felony charges in Missouri, including assaulting an officer.

May apologized to his victims Monday.
