DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say two men detained following the fatal shooting of a 6-month-old girl in Detroit have been released without charges.

The Detroit News reports they were released Monday after being held for questioning.

Officer Nicole Kirkwood says it was determined they weren’t involved. She says the search for suspects continues.

The Detroit Free Press identifies the girl as Miracle Murray. The shooting Saturday also left a 24-year-old man wounded.

Police say the infant was in a yard with adults and other children outside a home when a man started shooting. He later fled in a car.

Police have said the shooting appears to be gang-related and may be connected to the fatal shooting of a 3-year-old Anaiya Denise Montgomery on March 27. In that case, three people are facing charges.
