NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - A Dartmouth man who was convicted of child sexual assault charges has been sentenced to jail.

The Herald News reports (https://bit.ly/1VzHehW ) that a New Bedford District Court jury found 42-year-old Sumkit Grace guilty of two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and one count of open and gross lewdness.

Grace was sentenced to serve 1 ½ years behind bars. He must also register as a sex offender.

Grace was arrested in March 2014 for two separate incidents involving two underage victims in Dartmouth.
