MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A 14-year deputy with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has been suspended after being accused of driving under the influence.

Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee tells The Macon Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1XFSNBm ) that 33-year-old Thomas J. Hargrove was arrested in downtown Milledgeville late Friday or early Saturday.

Masseee says the deputy was off duty and driving his personal vehicle when he was charged with DUI and failure to maintain a lane.

Hargrove has been relieved of his duties pending the outcome of the investigation.

It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
