Donald Trump has accused Hillary Clinton of pandering to black voters after she recently told a black radio host that she carries hot sauce in her bag.

“It’s the same thing that she always does. She carries hot sauce like I carry hot sauce,” the Republican front-runner said on “Fox & Friends” Tuesday. “It’s just, I don’t know, it’s just so phony and so pandering and so terrible.”

During an interview Monday morning with “The Breakfast Club” radio show in New York, Mrs. Clinton explained that she’s a major fan of hot sauce and always carries it in her purse. Co-host Charlamagne Tha God questioned whether Mrs. Clinton’s answer would be seen as “pandering” to blacks.

“OK, is it working?” the Democratic front-runner joked. “No, but seriously. I’ve been eating a lot of hot sauce. Raw peppers and hot sauce. I think it keeps my immune system strong. Hot sauce is good for you.”

Beyonce’s new hit song “Formation,” performed at Super Bowl 50, features the now-famous lyrics: “I got hot sauce in my bag, swag.”
