PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a man has been arrested after more than 400 pounds of marijuana were seized during a traffic stop in Port Allen.

Multiple media outlets report 56-year-old Carl Fuller of Shreveport was arrested Saturday. Fuller is charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs.

State police spokesman Trooper 1st Class Bryan Lee says troopers were patrolling Interstate 10 around 10 a.m. when they conducted a traffic stop on Fuller’s vehicle after observing several traffic violations.

Lee says troopers were given consent to search the vehicle and found 466 pounds of marijuana in his pickup truck.

It isn’t immediately clear if Fuller has an attorney.
