ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities have identified two toddlers killed in a north Georgia mobile home fire as 2-year-old Noah Gaydon; and his 1-year-old sister Kaylee Gaydon.

The state fire marshal’s office said in a statement early Tuesday that the blaze began on the front porch shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, then burned into the interior of the home in Dawsonville.

Authorities said both children were rescued from the home with injuries and taken to area hospitals before being pronounced dead.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Glenn Allen, a spokesman for the state fire marshal’s office, said the blaze brings the number of fire deaths in Georgia this year to 50.
