WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have arrested a man in connection with a home invasion in which shots were fired.

The department said in a news release that on April 13, a man forced his way into a Wilmington home. Police say a fight broke out and the suspect fired two or three shots at the resident.

Authorities say the resident and a roommate continued to fight with the intruder and were able to take a picture of his ID card with their cellphone. The suspect then escaped.

On Monday, police found and arrested 23-year-old Ronald Boyce of Wilmington. He is charged with home invasion with a weapon and numerous other offenses.
