NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) - Jurors in suburban Philadelphia have returned a mixed verdict in the case of an Uber driver accused of raping a 24-year-old female passenger.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports (https://bit.ly/1MEKfu3 ) 47-year-old Abdellah Elkaddi was acquitted Monday of rape and aggravated indecent assault while a victim is unaware of what is happening. But a jury found him guilty of sexual assault and other charges.

Defense attorney William Reilly says he’s unhappy with the verdict and says the sex was consensual.

Prosecutors say the attack happened in June after the woman used Uber to call for a ride from Philadelphia to Norristown to get her car. Authorities say her car wasn’t there and, after getting into the front seat, she fell asleep. She says the fell asleep and awoke to Elkaddi raping her.
