HAYESVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say more than 300 pigs were killed during a barn fire in north-central Ohio.

Hayesville Fire Chief Stephen Young tells the Mansfield News Journal (https://ohne.ws/1VzVK8S ) the fire broke out just before 9 a.m. on Monday in the barn’s office area. Officials say firefighters battled the blaze for more than three hours and it threatened a second barn before it was contained.

No people were inside the barn at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
