ALGONA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say two men have died in a pickup crash off U.S. Highway 18 in northern Iowa’s Kossuth County.

The accident occurred around 1:45 p.m. Monday about a mile and a half east of Algona. The Iowa State Patrol says the westbound pickup left the roadway, ran up an embankment and went airborne before flipping over and striking a utility pole.

The patrol says both men in the truck were killed. The driver was identified as 63-year-old Harry Fraker. His passenger was identified as 65-year-old David Ludwig. Both men lived in Algona.
