FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say two people have been injured in an apartment fire in Fayetteville.

Crews responded to the apartment just before 1:30 a.m. Monday. Fayetteville Police Department Sgt. Craig Stout said that a man and a woman were in the apartment at the time of the fire.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and then later transferred to an out-of-state burn unit for treatment. Stout said the man was injured, but not as severely as the woman.

The fire remains under investigation, but Stout said that there was a methamphetamine lab at the apartment.
