WASHINGTON (AP) - Two District of Columbia police officers are under investigation after an allegation that one of them pulled the trigger of an unloaded gun inside a police station.

The Washington Post (https://wapo.st/1Ny77q5 ) reports that Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Dustin Sternbeck says the agency’s Internal Affairs Division is investigating the reported incident over the weekend. Sternbeck says that “at this point, it is an allegation.”

The head of the police union, Sgt. Matthew Mahl, declined to comment because the investigation is ongoing.
