JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - Jamestown police say they were involved in a high speed chase after a pickup truck that was reported stolen tore through downtown.

KQDJ radio reports that Tuesday’s late-morning pursuit began at the south end of town and ended on the grass of Zonta Park. Police say the suspect ran off, but he was soon caught hiding in a pickup truck box.

Police say damage was reported to rail tracks and fencing.
