ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - Police arrested a Roseburg father accused of assaulting his son after the boy didn’t pitch well in a baseball game.

The Roseburg News-Review reports (https://is.gd/uh44Bx ) the 14-year-old boy told police that his father grabbed him by the neck and mouth, causing a small laceration and several abrasions.

Police took the 50-year-old father to jail late Monday. He was booked on a charge of fourth-degree assault.
