GATLINBURG, Tenn. (AP) - A bridge in Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be closing temporarily on Wednesday for repairs.

The park says in a news release that Metcalf Bottoms bridge will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday for up to six hours.

The bridge is to be closed to all traffic, including pedestrians.

Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area will remain open with visitor access via Little River Road only.

Hikers will have access to Little Greenbrier Trail and Little Brier Gap Trail via Wear Cove Gap Road.
