MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A trial is scheduled to begin June 1 for a man accused of sexually assaulting a staff member at a Mason City facility that helps people with mental illnesses.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1MFpDSw ) that Joseph Wallace has pleaded not guilty to felony sexual abuse. Mason City police say a staff member working the overnight shift at the North Iowa Transition Center was assaulted March 29.

Wallace remains in Cerro Gordo County Jail, pending $10,000 bail.
