LONOKE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police have identified two women killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 as Clarendon residents.

A police report says 47-year-old Linda Brewster and 49-year-old Lora Piggee died in the Tuesday crash near Lonoke that shut down the interstate for several hours.

The report says Brewster and Piggee were westbound in a sport utility vehicle that stalled on the interstate. The SUV was first struck by one tractor-trailer rig, then was hit from behind by a second semi.

The vehicles then caught fire.

The report says the interstate was wet and it was raining at the time of the crash.
