DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Sen. Charles Grassley says he may go to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July if he can find a hotel or motel for one night. He says he doesn’t like spending money for five nights of lodging.

He says he’s gone to every convention since 1980 and always swears he’ll not go again. He may campaign for re-election in Iowa instead. Senators seeking re-election often skip the convention.

Speaking of money, Grassley says he doesn’t notice who’s pictured on paper currency.

When asked Wednesday his thoughts on Harriet Tubman replacing Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill, he says he only notices the denomination when pulling bills from his wallet. He says: “I don’t even know whose picture is on it except for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.”
