NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD says officers have arrested a Bronx man in the killing of his longtime roommate.

Jose Torres was arrested Tuesday on charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the two men got involved in a dispute early Tuesday morning and the 58-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times inside their University Avenue apartment in the Bronx.

The victim died at St. Barnabas Hospital. His name wasn’t immediately released.

It’s unclear if the 51-year-old Torres has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
