GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A building that houses a megachurch in western Michigan is getting bigger.

The 155,000-square-foot building is expected to grow by another 75,000 square feet. The church’s campus is on 26 acres in Grand Rapids.

Plans filed with the city of Grand Rapids shows the $2 million construction project will add about 270 seats and 157 parking spaces. The church currently has about 1,790 seats.

Sunday worship services are being held at Calvin College’s Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex during construction.
