PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities say a woman suffered a medical episode while behind the wheel of a vehicle and hit three pedestrians before striking a utility pole in Pittsburgh.

Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer says the crash happened just after 2 p.m. Tuesday in the city’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. Schaffer says the woman in her 20s had an unspecified medical episode and drove onto a sidewalk, where she hit three people.

The victims and the driver were taken to hospitals with injuries that authorities say aren’t life-threatening.
