Caitlyn Jenner revealed Tuesday that she recently took Donald Trump up on his offer to use the women’s bathroom at Trump Tower in New York City.

The reality star, formerly Bruce Jenner, made the admission in a speech at the TIME 100 Gala in Manhattan, where Mr. Trump was also in attendance, People magazine reported.

“This toast, actually started, in a bathroom. Actually, bathroom issues right now in my life seem to be in the forefront,” Ms. Jenner, an honoree, told the crowd. “Actually, on that issue I just want to say also — One little trans woman walking down the street had to go, I looked up and who did I see but the Trump Tower. Last week Donald Trump said I could use any bathroom I wanted in the Trump Tower. So of course I veered right in there — took care of myself.”

“I obeyed all the rules, I promise you, I didn’t throw any feminine products down the toilet. And it actually worked out quite well. It was very good,” the 66-year-old former Olympian added.

Mr. Trump told “Today” last week that North Carolina’s new law banning people from using public bathrooms that do not match the gender listed on their birth certificate was causing “a lot of problems.”

“If Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower, and wanted to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?” host Matt Lauer asked the Republican presidential front-runner.

“That is correct,” Mr. Trump responded.

Ms. Jenner, a longtime Republican, previously revealed that while she’s “not a big fan” of Mr. Trump, she thinks “he would be very good for women’s issues,” People reported.

The business mogul was also honored at Tuesday’s gala as a “ferocious leader” and “rule-breaker” by Republican Rep. Renee Ellmers of North Carolina, People reported.
