SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred on a busy freeway in Salt Lake City.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1TtqVRN ) that UHP officials say nobody was injured in the Saturday afternoon incident on I-15.

A semi-truck driver reported to troopers that a shot was fired from a SUV carrying either two or three men.

The driver says he was unaware of anything that occurred on the road that would have prompted the shooting, which took place around noon.

The UHP says the suspect vehicle is a green Ford SUV. It was seen exiting the interstate at 7200 South, heading west.

The incident remains under investigation.
