JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State and Memphis will play four football games in a home-and-home series beginning in 2020.

Arkansas State said Monday it was renewing its series with a rival it has played against more than anyone else. Since the two teams first met in 1914, they have played 57 times. Memphis leads the series 29-23-5.

The series will restart Sept. 5, 2020, at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee. It will be the first time the teams have played since 2013. The teams will alternate sites for the next three seasons - at Jonesboro in 2021 and 2023, and at Memphis again in 2022.

The teams have split their last four games against each other.
