GUTHRIE CENTER, Iowa (AP) - Police arrested a western Iowa woman after finding her hiding in an oven.

KJAN (https://bit.ly/1SwRgJO ) reports 25-year-old Gabrielle Looper, who was wanted for violating her probation requirements, was arrested Thursday after police forced their way into her Guthrie Center mobile home to complete a search warrant.

Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputy Kent Gries says two dogs approached authorities, and one bit a deputy. Authorities used a fire extinguisher to force the dogs back.

Deputies found Looper in a non-functional oven. Looper’s baby was also found in the home and turned over to a grandmother.

Looper was taken to Guthrie County Jail, along with 32-year-old Joseph Crawford, who was charged with interfering with official acts.

Court records don’t list the name of attorneys who could speak on their behalf.
