JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - A man sought in the fatal shooting of a man at a Jersey City bodega last year has been captured.

Hudson County prosecutors say 23-year-old Deandre Thomas was arrested Friday at a Jersey City home by city police and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force. It was made public on Monday.

Thomas is charged with murder in the Nov. 15 shooting death of 23-year-old Davonte Carswell at the Los Yoleros Mini Market Deli. His bail was set at $1 million cash and he was due to make his initial court appearance on Monday afternoon.

It wasn’t known if Thomas has retained an attorney. He faces a possible life sentence if he’s convicted.

A motive for the shooting has not been disclosed.
