SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - An emergency room nurse in Surprise whose husband died in a motorcycle crash says the EMS call came in about her husband while she on the E.R. floor.

ABC15 (KNXV-TV) reports (https://bit.ly/1V4tpHq ) that Kristina Pyle says she didn’t know the call on Saturday was about her husband, but she did know he was out running errands possibly on his motorcycle.

Authorities say 48-year-old Derek Pyle, of Surprise, was stopped in the area of Greenway and Litchfield Roads on Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle was hit from behind by an SUV. Police pronounced Pyle dead at the scene.

Kristina Pyle says she texted her husband out of concern but got no response. Police and her hospital supervisor later informer her that her husband was the motorcyclist.
