CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Police in Clarksburg say an infant in a stroller who was struck by a car has died.

Media outlets report that the girl was taken off life support Sunday, five days after the accident. Police Chief Robert Hilliard says the baby’s 18-year-old father remains hospitalized.

Police say the car’s 20-year-old driver indicated he did not see the infant and two other pedestrians walking in the street.

Hilliard says the March 29 accident remains under investigation.
