STROUDSBURG, Pa. (AP) - PPL Electric says more than 1,200 customers in eastern Pennsylvania remain without power due to high winds that downed trees and power lines.

The utility expects to have the service restored by about 3 p.m. Monday.

The hardest his areas remain Monroe and Pike counties in the Poconos and Wayne County, east of Scranton. Those counties have more than 1,100 customers without service.

The rest are spread among 12 other counties.
