TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say three fugitives wanted in South Carolina have been arrested in the Florida Panhandle.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office reports in a news release that 24-year-old Quinton Edwards, 23-year-old Kwame Fernander and 19-year-old Kayla Black were arrested early Monday morning.

Gainesville police had issued an advisory Sunday saying the fugitives were heading west on Interstate 10. Deputies in the Tallahassee area spotted one of the reported vehicles and arrested Edwards. That led deputies to a nearby hotel, where they arrested Fernander and Black.

The news release says all three fugitives were wanted for crimes in South Carolina and were also “persons of interest” in a homicide in North Carolina.
