COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - An Air Force staff sergeant is suspected of committing at least four sexual assaults in Colorado Springs and Aurora.

Colorado Springs police announced Tuesday that investigators from Denver, Aurora, the Air Force and Colorado Springs collaborated after seeing assaults with a specific pattern and identified 29-year-old Desmond Alvis Martin as a suspect.

He has been arrested for three sexual assaults in Colorado Springs last year and one in Aurora this year. Colorado Springs police say he’s also being investigated in other sexual assaults in Colorado Springs and Denver. Lt. Catherine Buckley declined to provide any details about the alleged pattern.

Martin, who is being held at the El Paso County jail, works as a dog handler for the unit that provides security at Peterson Air Force Base.

His lawyer declined comment.
