SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is set to speak at Syracuse University.

Albright, who served under President Bill Clinton, will speak on Tuesday afternoon about U.S. foreign policy and her 40-year career in international affairs. The free event is part of a public lecture series put on by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

Albright was the first female secretary of state.

She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012.
