PITTSTON, Pa. (AP) - Authorities in northeastern Pennsylvania have released the name of a woman killed in a residential fire.

Fire crews in Luzerne County were called to the Exeter Township home at about 5:30 p.m. Monday.

But township fire chief Dan Fetch said the fire had gone out by itself by the time crews arrived.

The county coroner’s office said 60-year-old Charmayne Medvec of Harding died of carbon monoxide from the blaze.

A state police fire marshal responded to the scene but made no immediate ruling on the cause of the blaze.
