SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Prosecutors in eastern Utah have filed charges against four men accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl while her mother was in the garage smoking meth.

The Uintah County Attorney charged the first man with rape and sodomy of a child last week and filed similar charges late Monday against the other three.

All four are scheduled to make initial court appearances Tuesday.

Authorities say in court documents that the assault occurred March 27. The girl reported it to her mother days later.

Child welfare workers have taken custody of the girl.

The mother has not been arrested in the case. It’s unclear if she will face charges.

The four men are 36-year-old Larson RonDeau, 20-year-old Josiah RonDeau, 29-year-old Jerry Flatlip and 26-year-old Randall Flatlip.

The four do not yet appear to have attorneys to comment on their behalf.
