VINELAND, N.J. (AP) - A crash involving a school bus and an SUV on a New Jersey roadway has left five people injured, including three children.

The accident occurred around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in the area of East Avenue and Garden Road in Vineland. The bus came to a stop in a nearby wooded area, nearly hitting some trees.

Four children were aboard the bus. Three of them treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the SUV’s driver and a passenger were both taken to hospitals.

None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Authorities say it appears that the bus driver failed to stop at a stop sign. But the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
