BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) - Authorities in Colorado are looking for witnesses to a skiing collision that led to the death of a New Jersey man.

Forty-three-year-old John Sherwood of Randolph died Monday after the collision on an expert trail at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. The resort said ski patrollers provided emergency care. Sherwood, who was on vacation with his family, died at the hospital.

Summit County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Taneil Ilano on Tuesday said the other skier involved stayed at the scene and was cooperative. She added investigators were seeking additional witnesses the crash on the Tiger double black diamond run. It happened around noon under the Peak 8 chairlift.

The death has been ruled an accident.
