CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Four people are safe after personnel from the Coast Guard and other agencies rescued them after their 24-foot boat began taking on water in Charleston Harbor.

Local media outlets report the four were rescued Tuesday morning near the Ravenel Bridge that links Mount Pleasant and Charleston.

One of the men aboard the boat told authorities the vessel struck something and then began taking on water. There were no injuries.
