ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) - A coroner has identified a physician and his nurse fiancée as the victims in a fatal western Pennsylvania house fire.

Beaver County Coroner David Gabauer (GAY’-bow-er) says 69-year-old Dr. Gary Hanson and 62-year-old Mary Gonzales Hill died in the fire at Hanson’s home in Raccoon Township. That’s near Route 18, about 25 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

Authorities say Hill called 911 to report the fire shortly before 11 p.m. Monday and to say that she was on an enclosed porch at the rear of her house, and that her fiance might still be trapped inside. Crews say they found both victims dead in the enclosed porch.

A state police fire marshal was investigating the cause of the blaze.

Hanson practiced in Weirton, West Virginia, and Hill worked as a nurse at the Weirton Medical Center.
