HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A 23-year-old Hartford man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison in exchange for his guilty plea in the fatal shooting of another city man at a park in June 2014.

The Hartford Courant reports (https://cour.at/1YeERyj ) Michael Pryce reached an agreement with prosecutors Monday that allowed him to plead guilty to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter with a firearm in the death of Hurberto “Killa Bee” O’Neill.

O’Neill was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk along the east side of South Green Barnard Park on June 14, 2014. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Pryce’s murder trial was scheduled to begin Wednesday. He was arrested in December 2014 after fleeing to Florida following the killing.
