MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Macon woman has been charged with felony murder in connection with the 2014 death of her 4-month-old infant.

Lt. Randy Gonzalez of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office tells the Macon Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1McBG9N) that deputies spent nearly two years investigating the April 2014 death of Andrea Oliver before issuing an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Kawanna Janesa Oliver.

The infant’s mother was arrested Monday and also charged with cruelty to children in the first degree. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney.

The warrant says an autopsy ruled the baby’s death a homicide. Kawanna Oliver is accused of providing “necessary sustenance” to her daughter, who was born prematurely and required formula every three hours through a feeding tube. The autopsy report also said the baby had a fractured arm.
